Prayers for the Sick
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

He Bore our sickness and endured our suffering. Matthew 8:17
Blessed be the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who consoles us in all our afflictions. 2 Cor 1:3-4
A Prayer Before Visiting the Sick
Prepare me Lord to be your hand and your mouth. Help me to listen above speaking; hear above listening, and always be a bringer of your comfort and grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer for Healing
Almighty God, through your Son Jesus Christ we ask your blessing on your servant N….. Heal his/her sickness and forgive his/her sins; mercifully restore him/her to full health, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
For Those Seriously Ill
Almighty, ever living God; in your mercy we ask your blessing upon your servant N….. in his/her affliction. Touch him/her with your grace to face face this sickness with patience and courage; and grant that if it be your gracious will, he/she may recover his/her bodily health, to serve you in newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Those in Advanced Age
God of mercy, look kindly on your servant N….. who has grown weak through old age. Fill him/her with the strength of your Holy Spirit. Keep him/her in faith and serene hope that he/she may give us an example of graciousness in the power of your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
